DATE: Friday, September 28
TIME: 8PM TO 10PM
PLACE: St. Paul’s Elkins Park, 7809 Old York Road
Oh, did we have fun at our first two Open book Author Cabarets! As one attendee said at the end of the second one: “I heard some great authors, got to spend some time with my friends, and met some new neighbors!” It’s a literary evening with a social twist! We’ll be planning several more of these great events in Fall 2018, and here’s the first one!
Join us for this celebration of the written word! If you haven’t been to one yet, here’s what it is: It’s a cabaret authorfest, where a roster of talented authors willl take the mic to share their work. Thoughout the evening, you’ll hear readings in a variety of genres. In the setting of this beautiful historic stone church, which hosts numerous concerts, the venue will be set up nightclub style, and you’ll have a chance to chat and mix and mingle, interspersed with lively literary readings!
This event is adult-only and BYO.
Note: If you attended our previous Author Cabarets, please note that we’ve moved from the train station to a larger venue at St. Paul’s Church.
AUTHORS WHO WILL BE READING:
Each author will share a short dramatic reading. They may read from something already pubished, or perhaps share something entirely new!
