Join Rena Potok as she discusses her new edited volume of her father’s work, The Collected Plays of Chaim Potok.
Following her talk, two actors will read two scenes from Potok’s plays.

Chaim Potok was a best-selling author of novels, histories, biographies, young adult fiction, children’s books and plays – including The Chosen, The Promise, My Name Is Asher Lev, and The Book of Lights.

The Collected Plays of Chaim Potok presents the complete dramatic work of a celebrated American writer. The volume is edited by Rena Potok with an introduction that presents the history of the plays and their central themes of family, truth, memory, and friendship. At its heart are lessons about the value of compassion and of encountering cultures different from our own.
